CSU Political Review
CSU Political Review set out to be a convener across political stripes, creating a sense of belonging for students who find themselves at odds with one another.
Built a cross-partisan student publication and programming series at Colorado State University, using gamification and structured dialogue to bridge political divides. Events included the UnFuck America’s debate, a Free Speech Policy Forum with the Center for Public Deliberation, candidate panels, and Seats at the Table, a deliberative roundtable bridging students with ASCSU candidates.

The ASCSU Election Blue Book
Colorado mails every voter a Blue Book before an election: a plain-language guide to what’s on the ballot, written to inform rather than persuade. Student government elections had nothing like it. Patrick built one for the Political Review: an events calendar, a how-to-vote page explaining ranked-choice for the presidential tickets and single-choice for Speaker and Senate, and one page per ticket in the candidates’ own words. The template outlived his time at CSU; the club carried it forward for the Spring 2026 election after he graduated.
