Photographing candidate forums and press conferences, producing content from the trail, calling voters, and working the floor at the convention. The range has given him real insight into statewide operations from multiple angles.

One recurring project has been a string of short videos shot in towns across Minnesota, each built around a visit with Demuth: what the community is doing well, what it’s genuinely worried about, and how she’d lead on it. It’s a format built to do on camera what a deliberation does in a room, name a place’s strengths and its trouble honestly, then talk through a real way forward, one town at a time.

This is where the thread pulls together. Patrick believes Minnesotans want stronger, more connected communities, and that conservative governance, practiced pragmatically and compassionately, is how the state gets there: not by retreating from public life, but by taking basic needs seriously and building the kind of trust that only comes from showing up. It’s the same instinct behind his photography, his deliberation work, his writing on place and belonging and the Second Amendment, and his refusal to let political violence push people out of public life. A community only holds together if it stays open, secure, and worth belonging to, and someone has to do that work. Right now, that’s this campaign.
